Eyfs Curriculum
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
At Brent Knoll School we believe that the Early Years and Foundation Stage (EYFS) is integral to providing the building blocks for children’s life-long learning and development. Through purposeful and meaningful play alongside real-life experiences, children consolidate and contextualise their learning. Children are encouraged to ‘have a go’ at new things and take risks while we nurture their self-confidence, allowing them to become the best that they can be.
The EYFS Curriculum
The EYFS curriculum is carefully planned with an emphasis on purposeful play and real-life experiences through a balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities that reflect the special educational needs of our pupils. The EYFS curriculum details the topics that are taught through a cross-curricular approach.
EYFS Policy
The EYFS policy details the expectations within the EYFS along with the relevant legislation and acts as a guide to ensure the EYFS curriculum continues to provide outstanding learning and development.
