Our assemblies so far this term have focused on our school values.
Mr Waring’s assembly focused on the theme of Responsibility.
Pupils were encouraged to think of responsibilities as leaves on trees. The older we become, the more responsibilities we gain. Pupils selected the responsibilities younger children have (e.g being kind and working hard) for our smallest tree then added to these on our teenager tree (e.g becoming more independent and using a mobile phone). Finally they identified responsibilities adults have (e.g. teaching lessons and keeping children safe) and added these to our adult tree.
Our work on the school values of Kindness, Responsibility, Honesty, Fairness and Respect aims to help pupils develop into active and well rounded members of their community.
