Dear families
Cheryl Cowie, parent governor and Chair of the Children, Families and community Committee, has asked me to pass this information on to you all. She has been part of a working party with ‘Childnet’ who are a charity whose mission is to ‘work in partnership with others around the world to help make the internet a great and safe place for children.’
They have developed an online survey and are looking for parents and carers who have or take care of a child with SEND between the ages of 11-17 to complete this.
The link to the survey is here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/V7CMCWN
The start of survey provides information about the project and what the results of the survey will be used for. It then follows by asking a range of questions focusing on the topics we are creating resources for, digital wellbeing, healthy relationships, and online pornography. They are especially keen for parents to let them know what questions they/other parents who have a child with SEND have around the topics of online wellbeing, healthy relationships, and online pornography. We plan to create short videos as part of the resources answering the most popular asked questions. All questions will remain anonymous. There are boxes nearer the end of the survey where you can submit questions which you think would be best answered in their resources.
